Onda Cero Mallorca presented its #OCRMallorca 2020 awards on February 25th at a gala held in Palma's Auditorium. The event was attended by over 1,000 people including authorities, award winners, sponsors, listeners and representatives of Balearic society to pay tribute to the 13 winners of this ninth edition of the awards organised by Atresmedia in Mallorca.
The President of the Balear Government, Francina Armengol, the Mayor of Palma, José Hila, the President of the Parliament, Vicenç Thomas, and the Government Delegate, Aina Calvo, are some of the authorities who were present at an event enlivened by the music of David Otero and the humour of Agustín 'El Casta'.
This year 2020 a total of 13 awards were given to individuals and associations as well as projects that contribute to the development of Mallorcan society, in addition to those who stand out for their work inside and outside the island.
In the area of Corporate Responsibility, the award went to Tirme's "Circular Hotels" project in which Wireless DNA participates by supplying the measurement sensors and the #IoT real-time monitoring system, together with other important companies such as Meliá, Iberostar, Riu, Garden Hotels, Agromallorca and Son March. The secretary of the jury and regional director of Atresmedia Radio and Onda Cero Baleares, Juan Carlos Enrique Forcada, highlighted, after the success of the last editions, the importance of these awards that have the purpouse of "putting the media focus on those people, groups and projects that contribute to the progress of the Mallorcan society in all areas".
